Our delicious crabmeat is processed from live crab caught in Lake Maracaibo. Our fishermen harvest blue crabs from the lake and immediately transport them to our processing plant. Only live crab are used for the ultimate in quality, flavor and texture. The crabs are quickly steamed live to capture their clean natural flavor. Many companies boil crab which increases the moisture content, deteriorates the texture and dulls the flavor. The crabmeat is meticulously hand-picked producing virtually shell-free crabmeat.

Standard Seafood produces jumbo, lump, cocktail claw and backfin crab-meats in our state-of-the-art processing plant Adelca. Our crabmeat is 100% natural. Bleach is NEVER used in any of our products assuring a clean and pure flavor, which makes our brands "Breakwater" and "Caribbean" so demanding.
